Swell to Great, upperoctave to Great, Great to Pedal, Swell to Pedal
Swell to Great, Great to Pedal, Swell to Pedal
Swell shutter pedal; two composition pedals to Great
This compact Walker organ was built in 1870 as a domestic organ and was later moved to a monastery in Cornwall.
The Swell windchest is situated centrally behind the prospectnt pipes, whilst the Great windchests (C and C sharp) are located to the left and right behind the front. Following a complete restoration in 2025, we installed it in St Lawrence’s Church in Macau. The organ is now considered the oldest historic pipe organ in China (including Hong Kong and Macau). It was officially inaugurated on 21 January 2026 and named the ‘Fr. Áureo Castro Memorial Organ’.
